Dunster - May 28 - 29

(Wednesday 30 May 2007) by Karin
Not much went on over the last two days. Monday was quiet with the usual chores. Tuesday I continued my sweet pea trench in the morning but the afternoon was tooooo nice to work so I got out a book, some music, a blanket, put on my bikini and enjoyed the great weather. Sooooo nice to just be able to hang out when the weather is nice and that on a weekday. Because the weather here is the same as at home.

Nice during the week and no good during the weekend. Carol Ann and Ernie left in the early afternoon so I did have to take care of the plants, Shasta (dog), Caramel and Frosty (cats) and check to make sure

Duke, Sonnet and SunnyRae (the horses) were OK in the evening. After some dinner, the couch with a good book. Although... good book.... maybe I shouldn't have read it in the evening. Am reading two books for the moment. The first one is Bear attacks: their causes and avoidance from Stephen Herrero and some of the stories are horrifying. I won't go into details but I don't want to find myself in the way of a grizzly bear. I value my scalp and the rest of my body. The second book is called Bear tales for the ages from Larry Kaniut and is not much better if it comes to gruesome details of grizzly maulings and sometimes black bear maulings too. And to be honest.... I still don't know what to do really if I find myself in a bear's path. It all depends on the bear and there is so little time to find out so many things. I think I prefer them from a distance. Although, I found myself in the way of a cougar and am still writing.
Sweet dreams......
